Funding of up to USD 500 and Registration Fee waiver will be provided to selected overseas students and postdoctoral fellows to travel to ICBN 2010 to present their latest research results. This grant may be used for travel or accommodation at the ICBN 2010 Conference in Singapore. Only students and postdoctoral fellows who are currently studying at a university outside Singapore are eligible to apply for this travel award. The Awards will be presented at ICBN 2010 in Singapore. Award recipients will be selected by the ICBN 2010 Technical Program Committee based on the merit of their submitted abstracts. The deadline for applications for the ICBN 2010 Student Travel Award for the ICBN 2010 Conference is February 15, 2010.
Application is available through online conference registration. Online registration and award applications should be made by February 15, 2010.

All Student Travel Award applications must be accompanied by:
- Your abstract (300 words maximum, single-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font), with the title, authors’ names (underline presenting author), affiliation and address.
- Your valid student (or postdoctoral) identification or official letter from your institution verifying your status
- A letter of recommendation from your professor or supervisor
Applications received without abstracts, valid student identification and letters of recommendation will not qualify for the Student Travel Awards.
- This award is open only to students and postdoctoral fellows who are affiliated with a university outside Singapore.
- The organizers will decide on the final grant amount to be awarded to each recipient. Each grant will not exceed USD 500 and Registration Fee waiver.
- This grant may be used to offset the student's travel or accommodation expenses at the ICBN 2010 Conference in Singapore.
- Award winners must be present at ICBN 2010 in Singapore to receive their grants in person. The grant will be in the form of cash or bank draft payable to the award winner.
- Each applicant may apply for and accept only one student travel award. All applications must include at least one abstract for consideration, as well as a letter of recommendation from the student's supervisor or professor. Applications submitted without abstracts or recommendation letters will not be considered for the award.
- Applications must be accompanied by a valid student ID or an official letter from his or her University verifying that the applicant is a student or a postdoctoral fellow over the conference period (i.e. August 1-4, 2010). Applications submitted without a valid student ID or official verification letter will not be considered for the award.
- The deadline for applications for the Student Travel Award for ICBN 2010 is February 15, 2010. Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
- Applications will be assessed based on the merit of their submitted abstract.
- All applicants will receive an email notification about the outcome of their application by April 15, 2010.
- Award winners must register for ICBN 2010 as a student or delegate by May 15, 2010 and present their abstracts in person at the ICBN 2010 meeting in Singapore. The organizers reserve the right to rescind the award from students who do not attend ICBN 2010 and present their abstract(s) in person.
